After sustaining a broken back and facing a future with chronic pain, Lisa looked to yoga. She attended her first class in 2000 and found it extremely demanding – challenging her stiff, obstinate, and broken body in a way that left her feeling intimidated, frustrated, and despondent.

A year later, she was coaxed into another class. One that encouraged the use of props and placed great emphasis on the philosophy of the 8-limbed path. This method resonated with her on many levels and it stuck. Since then she has completed multiple 200hr and 500hr trainings and continues to study annually with national instructors as well as her primary teacher, Tias Little.

She was introduced to Ayurveda while attending her first Yoga Teacher Training in 2003. “I remember not wanting that conversation to end.”

Thus began the journey of weaving the principles of Ayurveda into her practice, her teaching, and her life. She has since completed the arduous and demanding Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist program through California College of Ayurveda and maintains a private practice in Tulsa.

Lisa works one-on-one with clients of all ages on a variety of concerns: general anxiety disorder, sleep disruptions, GI distress, weight management, and more. She has a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, is a Certified Yoga Therapist, and a Professional Member of National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA).
